2021 Florida Unemployment Bonus Poll Analysis

The Center for Excellence in Polling surveyed Florida voters on the unemployment bonus. More than half of all likely voters supported allowing the unemployment bonus to expire as planned in September 2021 (55%). This included 52% of all likely Democrat voters.

of all likely voters said they were more likely to support letting the unemployment bonus expire knowing that allowing it to continue could lead to an increase in unemployment fraud.

said they were more likely to support letting the unemployment bonus expire when they found out the combined value of taxpayer-funded benefits available to an unemployed person with two dependents was equivalent to being paid more than $29 per hour working full-time.
