Over the last several months, President Biden’s approval numbers have seen a notable decline. As of early July, less than half of all voters approve of the job he is doing as president (46%).
This is down from his approval rating among all voters in June and May, which had shown that almost exactly half of all voters approved (51% in May and 50% in June).
Unsurprisingly, current polling shows that Republicans largely disapprove of President Biden (85%) and Democrats largely approve (87%).
Interesting to note, however, is that among Independents approval numbers are also waning. In May, a narrow plurality of voters disapproved (45%). In the most recent poll in early July, almost half of all Independent voters disapprove (48%).
