Earlier this year, President Biden signed an executive order to use more than $1 trillion in tax dollars to cancel student loan debt for nearly 40 million individuals earning up to $125,000 per year and married couples earning up to $250,000 per year. The Center for Excellence in Polling recently surveyed likely voters on their opinion regarding the president’s executive order, and the results are clear: Voters don’t approve.

A majority of likely voters (56%) do not support student loan debt cancellation, including six in 10 likely Independent voters.
