The Center for Excellence in Polling recently surveyed likely Georgia voters on issues facing the Peach State. Results show that Georgians do not want outside political influences playing a role in how state government does its job.

… of likely voters oppose government offices that oversee elections accepting funding for their operations from private individuals and special interest groups such as corporations and political organizations. Opposition to outside funding of elections comes from across the political spectrum, with 80 percent of Independents opposing the practice along with 63 percent of Republicans and 54 percent of Democrats.
Voters oppose the politicization of state investments and financial decisions.

… of likely voters oppose investing taxpayer money in banks and investment funds that make decisions based on their political agenda, utilizing so-called environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. Voters, regardless of their political persuasion oppose investing in ESG funds, including 68 percent of Independents, 66 percent of Republicans, and 58 percent of Democrats.
The bottom line: Georgia voters want their state government to operate in a non-partisan fashion and in the best interest of Georgians. This means they oppose the influence of third-party groups in state government’s critical functions of election administration and the investment of taxpayer dollars.
