Inflation and the Economy Top 2022 Voter Interest Poll

The Center for Excellence in Polling (CEP) asked likely voters about the factors affecting their vote leading up to the 2022 election, as well as their opinions on more than a dozen national issues. Voters indicate their top interest is inflation and the economy and demonstrate clear support for and clear support for work over welfare, energy independence, and limited federal spending.

In addition to inflation being a clear top-of-mind issue, 62 percent of likely voters agree that “government spending is directly tied to increased inflation.”

National Issues:

… of likely voters support requiring able-bodied adults without young children work, train, or volunteer at least part time as a condition of eligibility for welfare programs.

… of likely voters support increasing domestic energy production by constructing new pipelines and allowing other domestic energy projects.

… of likely voters support requiring congressional approval before costly regulations from federal bureaucratic agencies are allowed to go into effect—known as the “REINS Act.”
