The Center for Excellence in Polling recently surveyed likely voters in Nevada and found strong support for program integrity measures in welfare and reforms that would make elections more secure and transparent.

Nevada voters support program integrity in welfare

Survey results indicate that likely voters in Nevada support reforms that will ensure welfare benefits are going to those who are truly eligible.

…of likely voters, including majorities of Democrats (79%) and Independents (71%), support requiring unemployment applications to be checked against existing data to help ensure those who are receiving unemployment benefits are truly eligible.

…agree that individuals on unemployment should perform at least one meaningful work search activity each business day.

…support requiring food stamp recipients to report changes in their financial circumstances that could make them ineligible for the program within 10 days.

Election integrity reforms are also well-supported

Voters in Nevada also support reforms that will bring security to the election process. A significant majority believe that an individual should have to be a U.S. citizen to vote in state and local elections (84%). Majorities of all likely voters also strongly support requiring a bipartisan team to escort ballots when they are transported (78%) as well as requiring states to audit vote totals after every election (73%).
