The Center for Excellence in Polling recently surveyed Pennsylvania voters on key issues in the commonwealth, such as welfare reform and education.

Survey results indicate that voters strongly support measures that would help move individuals from welfare to work. Nearly two-thirds of all likely voters, including 61 percent of Independents, support requiring individuals on unemployment to perform at least one meaningful work search activity each day. An even larger majority of all likely voters—including a majority of Democrats (59%)—support requiring individuals to cooperate with the state’s attempts to collect child support as a condition of eligibility for food stamps (66%).

Meanwhile, voters strongly oppose radical agendas in Pennsylvania classrooms. Six in 10 likely voters oppose teaching gender identity and sexual education topics in local public elementary schools (60%). A majority of voters—including a majority of Independents (61%)—also oppose allowing critical race theory in Pennsylvania public school classrooms (56%).
